‘I Have a Dream’ is a speech delivered by Martin Luther King, Jr. on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC on August 28, 1963. Here, he speaks about his dream of seeing America as a developed country. He wants his country free from racial distinction between the whites and the blacks. The speech brings a great change in the country. King himself establishes as one of the greatest orators of the world. In his speech he requesis his audience to maintain peace-and-conduct their movement with dignity. He reminds the authority his promises that were made one hundred years ago. He presents the poor and bad condition of the Negro slaves. They live in slums and ghettos. They are deprived of their right to vote. They are cruelly treated by the police. They have lost all hopes of life. He demands that they must be now provided with their right if America is to be a great nation.

‘आइ हैव अ ड्रीम’ एक भाषण है जो मार्टिन लूथर किंग जूनियर के द्वारा दिया गया है लिंकन मेमोरियल (स्मारक) पर वॉशिंग्टन डी०सी० में 28 अगस्त 1963 को। यहाँ वो बोलते हैं अपने सपने के बारे में अमेरिका को एक विकसित राष्ट्र के रुप में देखने का। वो चाहते हैं यह देश आजाद हो जाये जातिय भेदभाव से गोरों और कालों के बीच के। यह भाषण देश में एक बहुत बड़ा बदलाव लाता है। किंग खुद को दुनिया के महानतम वक्ताओं में से एक के रुप में स्थापित कर लेते हैं। अपने भाषण में वो विनती करते हैं अपने श्रोताओं से शांति बनाये रखने के लिए और अपने आंदोलन को सम्मान के साथ जारी रखने के लिए। वो अधिकारियों को याद दिलाते हैं उनके वादों को जो एक सौ वर्ष पहले किये गये थे। वो प्रस्तुत करते हैं गरीब और बुरी अवस्था को निग्रो गुलामों की। वे झुग्गी-झोपड़ियों में रहते हैं। वे अपने मतदान करने के अधिकार से वंचित हैं। उनके साथ पुलिस क्रूरता से पेश आती है। वो जीवन की सभी उम्मीदों को गवाँ दिये हैं। वो माँग करते हैं कि उन्हें उनका अधिकार मिलना चाहिए अगर अमेरिका को एक महान राष्ट्र बनना है।
